Does the average DIY'er really need a Plunge Saw?

Does the average DIY'er really need a Plunge Saw?
Well ... now we know that we should just attack the wall itself ... which is pretty thin. ;D
I noticed that the cilinder is extending a little beyond the cover plate on the outside of the door. This makes it possible to grab the cilinder with a pair of pliers, and break the lock in two parts. Adding a thin extra plate between the cover and the door should prevent this from happening.
I love my Billy Bookcases. My friends don't, as when i moved house a few years back, they wouldn't fit in the lift at my new building (only about 4 inches too big for the lift). My friends had to carry them (and a sofa) up the stairs to the 10th floor haha. (One bonus to being arthritic, it gets me out of any heavy lifting lol).
Buy a funnel 😂
I remember seeing the thumbnail for this video when it came out and that is ultimately what got me back here, but I am sorely regretting not watching this before setting four posts at the weekend (with postmix) for a climbing frame. I was really not impressed with the postmix, and seeing the comparison here if I was doing it again I would most definitely use concrete, the question I now have to face is what I do with the post that I have already done... Thanks for the video.
As a joiner I have fitted a few doors and frames and that includes pvc 😂 so I was quite impressed with how the frame fits into your opening and the locking into the head nice job sir 👍
I have zero need for a door like this. I just enjoy watching someone who knows what they are doing.
I have the same sprayer. Biggest issue with these non compressed air sprayers is the overspray. Paint particles just end up literally everywhere. For large surfaces like your fence I would have gone with an airless sprayer.
Excellent project idea! Can you comment on the heat transfer from the BBQ to the concrete over the 2 years.. any cracking?
How did you pack mortar between the lintel and the supporting bricks at each end when there were supporting shims in the gap?
FYI, it's not good for a compressor's health for it to be switched on via anything other than the actual dedicated on/off switch on the compressor itself. So you keeping it on, on the compressor and turning it on by a switch downstairs will cut down your machine's lifespan considerably.
How well does this drain water? Or does it have to run off?
That job would take your two hours with a robotic totalstation and a simple cad program
nicely done. Super great detail. I'm using alot of this thanks
Bamboo is a nasty, invasive species, spread by silly people planting their little " Lucky Bamboo" plants that they bought from Poundland. Locally it's spreading like wildfire and roots are growing outwards and upwards and new shoots are bursting up through public footpaths on the other side of fencing, wrecking them. Our local council dug up the brojen tarmac and redid it, but it's burst through again 4 months on.
Dont care. Still hate right blade saws with passion!
I've done aa bit of this around home over the years. Hydrated Lime works too, and is a bit "greener" 10% is a little high yu can go to 5% pretty comfortably. For garden walls etc if you have surplus soil you can add 2,parts shredded paper by volume and make a lightweight yet incredibly strong fibrous material. *see "Papercrete" This can, save you money on sleepers etc and won't rot. You ca even make your own pavers if your mix has about 10% sand.
Дзякуй за Вашу працу!
To be honest I rather buy a brand new damaged screwdriver if you could leave a link.
Man drives a Bentley with all his UA-cam money. :P
I've just gone and bought 2 of those troughs. I plan to have and upper and lower one to be placed next to my kitchen window and then be planted with herbs at the top and tomatos at the bottom.
I have a little 6inch batt powered chainsaw. It's great for 90% of what my wife/kids are asked to do. Maybe 75% of what I need a saw for. Big difference is my unit is a dedicated saw and spins much nicer and can use regular chains from ace hardware. $15 and it's a smoking deal.
Wet and Forget is by far the best patio cleaner, but don't expect it to work overnight, over a week or over a month. It works over months. The green algae is dealt with over the first week. The Black lichen takes longer much longer, the progress can't be seen day to day but over a couple of months and there it is the black lichen starts to fade. Obviously before you start clean off all the loose dirt with water and a broom. Using a pressure washer pits your paving stones and creates more crevices where black lichen grows. So apply "wet & Forget" in March and September and your patios and paths will remain algae and lichen free.
Thank you for this simple jig. What would you recommend, a table saw or a plunge saw for home use? I have to make furniture and drawers for the mobile home! I doubt whether a small business table is useful with larger plywood panels.
Great video, thanks.
I use that chainsaw for a few months when camping to cut fallen branches and make a fire. I use it for it's size. It's true that looks dangerous, but i don't know anything smaller than this chainsaw. It always needs adjustments of the chain, i don't know if that is normal. There is one that you can attach to a grinder, that is definitely crazy 😂
mate that last tool is a skateboard tool, handy little thing for small spaces or fiddly things.
Very similar to a Hyundai 63l, same grinding noise
Excellent video. Thank you so much. My favorite part begins at 8:15.
Great video once again, just a small problem for me is I share four panels with a neighbour, his fence is Mediterranean blue and mine is grey, any suggestions on sealing the vertical feather boards to stop paint going through any gaps present.
In my experience using a pressure washer on sandstone or concrete slabs is relatively fast and looks great for a while. Then as you do it year after year you provide a perfect environment of microscopic caves and tunnels for lichen to thrive. Eventually slabs end up covered in black, white or both, spots that no jet washer on earth will shift.
As soon as I saw it uses the standard barrels I cant help but laugh, a simple 0'd bump key can get in within seconds, let alone if some one had a pick
You video is great I actually finally completed drilling my RSJ thanks mate you are a legend 😊
Now hopefully nobody steels that beautiful door….. it’s great but I suggest buying a better cilinder for it. Great video. Kind regards
Water, bleach, vinegar and washing up liquid mixed together worked the best for me!
so for concrete for fence posts what would be the correct percentage of cement to soil . we have a clay soil here
Specialist measuring equipment. 🤣🤣 Machinists call vernier calipers "guessing sticks".
This is cool. I've learnt something today. How about permeability? Does this let water through? Or will it increase pooling on the top? Asking as I need to know if I need an angle and runoff to the area i would be applying this to.
The best thing about using concrete mixed in a barrow, is that you can pour it right in, and add big rocks, ( concrete savers!) And save even more! The poor strength of the post mix is ridiculous, and seems like garbage! For a temporary fence, maybe, but the cost isnt worth it!
Milwaukee M18 Fuel 2904?
It's an impressive door with all those bolts all around, but the fact that they're all controlled by the same lock and key means there is still just one weak point to overcome. The lockpicking lawyer would surely get in there in no time without making a ruckus.
As always, first class. Well done
Wow❤ its amazing
Brilliant video as always Stuart!
